Rero

A French artist born in 1983, he lives between Sao Paulo and Paris. He studied economics and sociology and has no formal EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND in HDA.
He uses rhetoric to express his vision of the world in an immediately recognizable typology, with crossed-out words in capital letters. Rero 's work is not simply a literary intervention in urban spaces, an academic exercise in pure rhetorical reflection on collective morality. Rather, it is the public use of a procedure typical of conceptual art, a weaving together of image and word that ultimately produces a collective reading, for an attentive public who spot on the walls of buildings and factories not advertising texts but rather invitations to a mental workout.
He chose the Verdana font because it has no connotations; he wanted the most impersonal font possible (≠ with graffiti, which on the contrary seeks highly personalized calligraphy). Through the crossed-out words, he also wanted to multiply the reading directions: is it true? false? the opposite?
